Osteopathic physicians are trained with a holistic approach, including the prevention of illness by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, looking at the whole person rather than focusing on symptoms, and understanding the interconnectedness of all parts of the body. An MD (doctor of medicine degree) is a doctor who has graduated from a conventional medical school.
